Tried other FM rx,s; bad side effects;now on Savella and Tylenol for pain..helps only a little. Also prosac for long time..really helps depression. Savella helps fibrofog, but need more pain relief. Dont know if its mainly OA causing pain and Dr. says I,ll need narcotics for arthritis pain(bone spurs etc in neck,thumb also sciatica), but hate to start on them. Dispite Protonics(on acid blockers for years) now have occasional stomach pain.Is high dose of Savella causing more bleeding or irritaion? Should I go back to 100mg?( I think I had more energy then. What might help OA pain without more GI distress and let me see if Savella helps more than just fibrofog. I’m now taking 200mg Savella.,Trazadone(100mg)at night with 1/8mg xanax for sleep,1300mg acetametaphen 3xdaily and prosac 20mgdaily. also glucosamine/chondroitin and vitamins. Still fatigued alot with pain. What narcotic wont irritate stomach or make me feel "zonked" . Dr. said start with Tramadol,butI read that its hard on stomach.

I have 2 herniated disks(L4 and L5) and have spinal stenosis (arthritis) in S1. I have tried drugs such as Oxycontin, Percocet, Ultram, and Tylenol 3. Currently, I’m on Neurontin, Lodine, and Zanaflex. I have had 2 epidural steroid injections and a Lumbar nerve block last week. None of this has worked and my pain is still a 10/10 and radiates down my legs. I have tens unit and have tried all kinds of linaments. I’m not a candidate for surgery because of where it is. Any suggestions of other drugs that I can get doc to prescribe or other things I can try? I’m only 29 years old and desperate!

He is 80. The doctor said just take Tylenol, which only works for a bit. The heat pads work for a bit too. I like home remedies, so I read about the concoction of liquid pectin and grape juice. My mom says he is on Lipitor, and cannot take grape juice. When I investigated this, I saw Grapefruit juice, not grape juice. Cannot be the same interaction, can it? He is in alot of pain. No shot either, the doctor doesn’t want that.

Went to the doctor and she said there is no test for it.Nothing much you can do for it.The pain is in my hands,wrist,but the worse is in my shoulder and arm."Just take Tylenol,Ibuprofen,or Nap rosin.Come on,there has to be something?

FOR ARTHRITIS IN A 96 YRS OLD GAL–Is it okay to take 200mg of Celebrex in the evening with 500mg of Tylenol during the day? Is Aleve more effective? Any other helpful suggestions for extremely painful hand arthritis?

What is the best pain relief for arthritis in your facet joints. I have tried ibuprofen, tylenol,aleve,aspirin and Ultram. Not much help from any of them. Any suggestions other than narcotics ?

I just started to experience arthritis in my feet, legs and upper back. Is there a home remedy that’s any good. I tried Tylenol Arthritis, but it didn’t do anything. Also…what are the medical treatments that are available and actually work?

My family doctor gives me prescription MOTRIN and Ive tried some other inflammatory med. Ive tried Tylenol arthritis, and well my friend gave me vicodiin. That works but when It wears off its just back to pain. Plus I dont want to be all popping pills

My arthritis in my hip is so painful that it’s difficult to sleep at night. I know I need to lose weight and I’m working on that, but what’s the best way to try to be comfortable in the meantime? My Dr. suggested I take Tylenol 8 Hour Extendtabs at night in addition to the Naprosyn I take twice daily, so I’m trying that tonight. I’m also trying a capsaicin patch. Narcotics and sleeping pills are not an option. Anything else I can do?

History of ulcers, do not have addictive personality. Doc's won't give me narcotics. Plain Tylenol doesn't work, hot pads don't work.
