I fear that i may end up in a wheelchair because i’ve picked up various injuries in my knees. Plus I have arthritis in my thigh from a broken leg at age 6. Not only that but i have slight scoliosis and i dont know if this is the reason but my hips hurt and my back… everything is painful now. I’ also got a shoulder damage 4 months ago and it still hurts and doesn’t stop hurting.

i’m 28 and male.

What could be my back problem?

So I went to the doctor a few days ago, because I have been having horrible lower back pains, and i am currently abroad, so my host mom thought it might be my kidneys or my pilondial cyst, but the doctor said it was my lower back and that was all.

I have had hip pains in my right hip since I was a child, but we never had it checked out, it was suggested maybe i had juvenile arthritis and that was what we accepted and never got it looked at. But for the past two weeks I have had horrible lower back pain, and I get horrible hip pains once at least every three weeks.

At the moment we are doing nothing about it, and I am considering going home to get everything checked out, even to just find that I have just arthritis in my hips, I am just concerned it could be nerve damage I have had for years.

If I sit for long periods of time, its miserable, and I cant walk for more then fifteen minutes comfortabley. I think when i was in middle school they said i had 5° scoliosis but that wasnt a big deal and I have a arch in my back because i have a big butt so laying on my back with out having my knees bent is extremely uncomfortable and i cant bench press with out my feet on the seat.

so any suggestions?

does this sound like juvenile arthritis?

im 14 and ive done many sports in my life, like dance, gymnastics, baseball, basketball, volleyball, soccer and lacrosse and during the last year i have been have lots of joint pain, mostly in my ankles and in my wrists, but lately its been in my finger joints. it is very painful, it hurts the most after playing a soccer game but it hurts almost every night, sometimes to the point where i am in tears and am unable to bear it. do you think this sounds like juvenile arthritis? if not what might it be? also do you think the fact that i used to have scoliosis might be a reason for my joint pain?

I am on a low sodium diet. Here is why–I have quite a few health problems–including, but not limited to, hypothyroidism, hypokalemia (low potassium), hyperaldesteronism (overactive adrenals), hyperhidrosis (excessive sweating), kyphosis (a form of scoliosis), Fibromyalgia, major depression, Psoriasis, Psoriatic Arthritis, Sleep Apnea, Premature ventricular contractions, Narcolepsy, severe Edema issues, and no telling what all else! On top of all of that, I was born deaf-blind due to Congenital Rubella Syndrome–mom got the german measles when she was preggers with me. So as you can see, I got quite a few problems……so it is imperative that I follow a strict diet with as little sodium as possible.

I hope somebody can help point me in the right direction so I can finally enjoy macroni and cheese again. TIA!

I'm 26 and I just found out that I have Osteoarthritis and Scoliosis in my lower back. What exactly does this mean for me? My doctor was kind of vague with me with this diagnosis. I have a LOT of lower back pain and it hurts all the time and I don't know what to do. My doctor recommended physical therapy, but my work's health insurance doesn't cover it. I have tried Aleve, but it doesn't phase it.
