I am a candidate for total knee replacement due to arthritis. I have heard conflicting information regarding use of the replacement joint. Some people say they can never kneel again, but my aunt, who’s in her 80′s, kneels to garden. Some say they’ve lost lateral movement. If you’ve had the surgery, would you please offer your perspective? And if you’re an older woman, how long did it take you to resume your normal routine, like lifting grandkids and standing in the kitchen prepping meals? Thanks for the help.
