I’m sixteen and my mom is convinced that drinking cherry juice helps reduce the sypmtoms of psoriatic arthritis and I don’t think it does because when I drank it everyday, once a day, for about two weeks it didn’t seem to help, only my pain killer medicine does. I hate cherry juice and she keeps making me drink it, but I tell her that I don’t think it helps. Does anyone know if it actually helps or not?

Well my dad just found out he has arthritis in his knee and I just want to know what can he do other than just take medicine. Does he have to change his diet, life style, exercises, etc.

hi i have jra and i am 16 im thinking of publishing a book on it for ages 12-18. They will give me there stories and ill put it together with my story. I want them to realize they are not alone.. we are all going through the same thing and the same medicine that is making us sick every time we take it… Do you think this will be a good idea?

She’s 15, and has arthritis. One knee is particularly bad, and it severely affects her balance (I thought she had a stroke!) Vet has given her anti-inflammatory medicine, she’s is restricted from excessive activity, and I carry (all 32 pounds of her) up and down the stairs 5 times a day. Still, if I can figure out how to wrap the knee, I think her leg would be more stable, improving both her balance and her comfort.

My 2 year old daughter is fixing to start Methotrexate for her Juvenile Rheumatoid Arthritis and I wanted to know if anyone taking it has had actual side effects and how quickly they started. I know the possible side effects, but want to know what experience other people have had on this medicine.

She has juvenile arthritis, after four years of taking the medicine she has elevated sgpt ( alt ) , her Dr. said that we should stop the pills for a couple of weeks, is this enough time to reduce the SGPT? and could there be another reason for the elevation? Thanks
