i have frequent knee pain whenever I play tennis?
Is this normal? I think I’m way too young to be getting knee pain or arthritis. I have elbow pain as well, but that comes with the territory.
Arthritis Causes, Symptoms and Relief
Is this normal? I think I’m way too young to be getting knee pain or arthritis. I have elbow pain as well, but that comes with the territory.
Here lately I have been dropping stuff left and right. I have had hand, toe, & knee pain most of all. My fingers and toes are swollen to? Does this sound like arthritis? Oh! It also runs on both sides of my family.
Thank You!
Okay – so.. typically when I ride it’s during a lesson, show, or clinic and I’m in the saddle for an hour at the very least. Lupus runs in my family and I’ve already got symptoms of it + rheumatoid arthritis. After riding for an extended period of time, I start to have knee pain – mostly in my right knee. I’ve tried jointed stirrups and ironically they caused MORE pain than they relieved. I’ve thought about trying the Bow Balance stirrups but I’m afraid it’ll be the same thing. I have "conformational issues," as my trainer likes to put it, because I’ve got a 33" inseam but I’m only 5′4". This makes it hard for me to fit really nicely in a saddle without my leg looking too long (even if my stirrups are at the right level).
I know I have a problem of turning my toes out when I jump, so could this be part of the reason for my knee pain? Could it be the fact that my legs are so long? Does anyone else have this same problem and if so – what have you done that has actually worked?
I’ve had blood tests done every year for the Lupus. With the test – they’re looking for I think three specific things.. if you only have two out of the three, they still name your results as "negative." My Dr. has said, "It’s just a matter of time before the test comes back positive" – I don’t really know how to interpret that.. I’m assuming that one of the things they look for is possibly age related. Who knows.. and Yes, I’ve tried ace bandages, I’ve tried a knee brace – it doesn’t help. Ibuprofin sometimes works but I’m not a huge fan over taking stuff. My massage therapist has recommend Arnica – which I’ve yet to find – but otherwise I’m not on any medications other than the occasional Flexiril after a horseshow (which is when it’s the worst).
They drilled into the growth plate to stop growth on my right knee so my left knee could catch up, and possibly even out. The surgeryydidn’tt work very well, and my legs never evened out. However, that is not my point. Could the drilling have caused arthritis or another condition that could be giving me mild to severe knee pain? If it’s a different condition, can you please tell me what it is? Thanks in advance!
My daughter has been complaining that her knees hurt for the past week. She fell and had a pretty bad scratch on her knee. This was about 3 weeks ago and it is completely healed but I thought when she said "knee hurt", it may have been past tense and a recollection upon seeing the scar.
I am thoroughly convinced now that her knees are really hurting. I will kiss the scarred knee and she’ll say other knee hurt. She’s complaining constantly, but it’s not the type of pain that requires going to an emergency room. We have an appointment to see her doctor on Tuesday.
This is my REAL fear. I have chosen NOT to vaccinate my daughter. On July 8th she scratched her cornea and we ended up in an emergency room. I was convinced she needed a tetanus vaccine by both the er doctors and her doctor. She had no immediate reaction to the vaccine. But when I Googled "Toddler complains of knee pain" one of the links connected the Tetanus vaccine to Juvenile Rheumatoid Arthritis. I am freaking out. I have also read the Web MD page explaining how to differentiate between JRA and growing pains.. and have ruled out growing pains.
WTF? Any ideas?
Im 15, and have been having knee pain for 2 years. It started off with juvenile arthritis, so they did a steroid injection. It went away but then the pain started again and the doctor told me it was patellofemoral pain syndrome. I went to physio for a bit but nothing was helping. I play competitive soccer and volleyball. I usually wear a patellofemoral knee brace but it didn’t seem to be working so i stopped wearing it. It doesn’t hurt more or less since i stopped wearing it. It has only been a nuisance.
The pain is located underneath my kneecap and on the tendon and the outside of my knee just above the shin bone on the side.
Can I take 100mg of ibuprofen everyday for a few months or so to help my knee pain. X-rays showed early signs of arthritis int he knees.
I have had knee pain since I was 9 (for 16 years now), it is achy but can be very severe. I thought it was arthritis, but was recently told there is no way it could be that because juvenile arthritis would have left me crippled by now. I get upper back pain if I don’t sleep completely flat. I sometimes can’t straighten my left leg because of a pain from me knee to the ball of my foot. I also sometimes get very sharp quick pain in my lower back and am unable to pick a leg off of the floor to walk at times. Is this all related? I am just sick of having at least one of these stupid pains every day. Any advice would be great!
I have had two knee scopes and have horrible arthritis and constant knee pain. Vicodin is the only thing that seems to work for the pain. No I am not an addict or junkie, I’m a 38 year old married mother of 3 who has a full time job outside the home who just can’t take being in constant pain anymore. Any suggestions from anyone? I am too young for a knee replacement I’m being told so……..
