injury to right knee at age 12, now I'm 37, have a job that keeps me on my feet/walking almost the whole time. Needless to say, arthritis has set in. Doc prescribed NSAIDs but I'd love to hear some at home treatment that's worked for others

I had xrays done for both of my knees and the dr says I have
Osteoarthritis in both of my knees. I am 32 years old. And was wondering if I could get ssi.
I did have a job for 2 years sitting at a computer and thats when I started to notice the pain in my knees. So no I don't think I could get a sit down job. I am not trying to use tax payors dollars, its hard for me to walk, not to mention go to work!

I am only in my late 40's, I like to work a little bit more, thought not as much as before. I fell ill for Rheumatoid Arthritis for 4 years, and taking predisone for it. I went through hell dealing with the pains. Now, the spring water seems to work. However, I must move to a new place where I can find a job. Does anyone know of a non-desert place with weather that don't inflict arthritis pains?

My doctor agrees that I am far too young to have arthritis (age 35-42) to this extent. My job requires me to not only work on an assembly line at the end of a blast freezer wearing short sleeve summer uniforms but then I switch to a line run on steam from boiling gravy. I stand in extreme heat up to my waist then from neck down to waste I have a blast freezer blowing freezing air down on me. Wouldn't these conditions worsen my arthritis and if so, where can I find the proof that such conditions would contribute?
I also must pay for the surgery myself. But none of the surgeons I have called will tell me how much a right should arthroscopy will approx. cost. Does anyone know where I can find out what a "base" cost would be?
