My mom was advised by her doctor to have knee replacement surgery due to her arthritis. However, since she’s diabetic, he also advised that she lose 30-50 pounds prior to surgery. Her diet is fine, but she really needs to incorporate more exercise to help get the weight off. Besides water aerobics, what are some low impact exercises she can do that would put pressure and strain on her knees? Thanks.
My Dad has arthritis and I’d like to give him something he can use to help comfort him (He’s been a mailman for 28 years and has it in his hands). Yes, he’s been to the doctor and he’s recieving treatment but still has pain. Is there any type on soothing gloves or maybe something that can help him do exercises. Thanks!

Which exercises and sports are suitable for rheumatoid arthritis?
I was diagnosed as rheumatoid arthritis.I have had the disease since I was 11.At first,I can’t walk. After 2years,I was recover from it and since then,I have been healthy. However when I had checkup,I was diagnosed as rheumatoid arthritis again.
I want to know how I can get rid of this disease.
I don’t want to take many medicines with harmful side effects.
I prefer avoiding foods that are bad for rheumatoid arthritis and taking foods that are good for the disease.
And I am very willing to do exercises and sports instead of taking drugs.

My dad has osteoarthritis and osteopenia in his low back. Additionally, he has a slipped disc. Are there any stretches or exercises that can help lessen his pain?
I have just been diagnosed with osteoarthritis. So, I am new to this. I was just wondering if someone could please tell me the reason to why you get this disease and if it is anything that a doctor could give you to cure it? Will medication help this disease or will it just be a waste of time trying to take medication for it? I have been in so much pain for the last few weeks behind this illness and I am currently going to the therapist to do some exercises on the foot that is messed up. I was just wondering if I could get some kind of advice on this sickness and if there is somethinf I can do or get to help my siguation?
I have already lost 55 pounds without exercise. But I need some exercise that doesn't put me in pain for a week before I can exercise again. My back hurts when I run on me tread mill and my knees hurt severly after exercises.
I have osteoarthritis. I'd like to start weight training (I already do plenty of cardio). However, I know that certain exercises will exacerbate my joint pain, at least while doing them. Is it better to work through arthritis pain when weight training so as to ultimately attain the benefit of stronger muscles, or will doing so further damage the joints?
I am 56 yrs old and have Rheumatoid arthritis for about 10 yrs now, i had my right knee replaced recently. My arm joints and other joints are paining . Should i proceed with the other knee and if so how much time should i give before operating the other one ? that is should i take 3 months break before performing the other?? should i perform some exercises?

I was diagnosed as rheumatoid arthritis.I have had the disease since I was 11.At first,I can't walk. After 2years,I recovered and since then,I have been healthy. Now I am 23/male/married/1 child. However when I had checkup again,I was diagnosed as rheumatoid arthritis again and the doctor told that my lungs were not very good and I had high cholesterol level even though I am lean.Is it because I eat a lot of eggs? That's why I have been doing exercises eveyday until now to get rid of not only cholesterol and rheumatoid arthritis as well.
