18 month old complaining of knee pain?

My daughter has been complaining that her knees hurt for the past week. She fell and had a pretty bad scratch on her knee. This was about 3 weeks ago and it is completely healed but I thought when she said "knee hurt", it may have been past tense and a recollection upon seeing the scar.

I am thoroughly convinced now that her knees are really hurting. I will kiss the scarred knee and she’ll say other knee hurt. She’s complaining constantly, but it’s not the type of pain that requires going to an emergency room. We have an appointment to see her doctor on Tuesday.

This is my REAL fear. I have chosen NOT to vaccinate my daughter. On July 8th she scratched her cornea and we ended up in an emergency room. I was convinced she needed a tetanus vaccine by both the er doctors and her doctor. She had no immediate reaction to the vaccine. But when I Googled "Toddler complains of knee pain" one of the links connected the Tetanus vaccine to Juvenile Rheumatoid Arthritis. I am freaking out. I have also read the Web MD page explaining how to differentiate between JRA and growing pains.. and have ruled out growing pains.

WTF? Any ideas?

My 8yr old daughter developed a strange rash. They appeared as circular rashes that were open inside and all interconnected like a behive. She also had striped rashes that were raised and red as if someone had scratched her. She has been having extreme severe joint pain. To the point at times she cannot move. The doctors said it is Erythema multiforme or a virus. This has been going on for over a week. Is there some other diagnosis for this. Could this be possible juvenile rheumatoid arthritis? She worsens at night and has also been having a low grade fever. The rash also comes and goes.

always exhausted and sick?

Im always exhausted. I can sleep for 15 hrs and wake up feeling like i slept 2. I have headaches all the time. I occasionally get vertigo for 2 days straight. what could be wrong with me??

I have juvenile rheumatoid arthritis, lupus, pericarditis, ovarian cysts, medullary sponge kidney, bilateral kidney stones, asthma, and reynaud’s phenomenon but my doctors have ruled out all my problems as being the cause of these symptoms. any ideas??

swelling of joints?

hi. i’m 15 year old female. for the past about 6 months i have had a lot of joint pain. at first it was in my knees and they were very swollen. i got one drained and it never came back. after that my wrists and feet started to bother me. after my fingers began to swell up. my joints all swell up. the swelling will lat for a few days and then go away. i have been put on naproxen but it hasn’t helped. what do you think this is? i’ve gone to many doctors and gotten blood tests and it seems to be fine. i think it may be a possibility that i have juvenile rheumatoid arthritis, but rhe rheumatologist doesnt seem to be sure and apparently it takes a while to diagnose. what do you think? also, if it is rheumatoid arthritis will i still be able to play volleyball and basketball?

MMR Vaccine help?? Should I get it,or not?

On the information leaflet it says you should delay/not get it if you have a low immune system,or a disease which affects the immune system. And if you have gotten it twice before,it’s still advised to get it again.
But I’m in a predicament…..I have Juvenile Arthritis,a type of Rheumatoid, and this causes me to have a very low immune system, and the meds I’m on affects my immune system also. Because of this,I pick up things realli easily. I’ve had the vaccine twice already, but I was talking to someone who’s nephew got the vaccine twice and he still got a severe case of the mumps.
Any doctors/nurses/medical people out there?? Or anyone who could help?? What do ye think I should do?? Should I get the vaccine, regardless of my comprimised immune system??
I don’t want to get the mumps…..I get realli sick with a cold or the ‘flu,I’ve had the ‘flu for the past 3 weeks,on my second course of antibiotics and it has now developed into a chest infection…..
Thanks in advance
Yeah…..I did get it twice as I mentioned in my question,if you actually read it…..and people ask lots of random questions in the Ireland section, what does this have to do with travel in Ireland:

Yeah. Not much.
And I was just looking for help, thank you very much. Obviously you think I’m THICK enough to say ‘Oh,I’m gonna do exactly what such and such a person said’ I just wanted opinions…..

For over a year I frequently develop a fever (a few hours a day) , start feeling nauseous, get mild headaches, muscle aches, joint aches, and temporary dizziness ,LOSS OF SIGHT, and severe headache for a few seconds often when I stand up after lying down for more than half an hour.

I’m uses to being miss and under diagnosed. It took 5 years to be diagnosed with a bad case of equines (the worst the doctor had seen in 14 years. Yet three other doctors said it was in my head.
I know there’s something wrong because you dont just temporarily go blind after standing, even if it is only for a few seconds.
I’m 14 and live in australia if it helps.

been to my doctor heaps but he just dismisses it, despite being diagnosed with about three other conditions he dissmised. (equines, juvenile arthritis and patella femoral.

any ideas what could be causing it.

its definately not the heat, yet because it’s been winter so its only 19 or 20c but the heat makes it a LOT worse

Help about the MMR Vaccine?? Please answer?

Ok,here in Ireland the HSE are giving out free MMR vaccines to TY,5th and 6th yrs and third level students. On the information leaflet it says you should delay/not get it if you have a low immune system,or a disease which affects the immune system. And if you have gotten it twice before,it’s still advised to get it again.

whats wrong with my wrist??please help?

Ive been having severe pain in my wrist for about a week or so.I cant bed it forward or backwards.I cant grip things, turn it and it hurt to drive.I get the worst pains when i try to use it.And it on my right and i am right handed.Im only 19 about to be 20 and my mother had juvenile arthritis..could that be what it is.alls i know is i am in pain and my doctors is closed. The pain has started to spread to my elbow..anyone know what this could be?

Or is it diagnosed through symptoms?

Im 23.
When I was 10 my family doctor said that I Might have Juvenile idiopathic arthritis.
But we moved after that first appointment, and I have never gone back to the doc sice.
In both of my knees, left mostly, and both shoulders, right mostly, I have always had really bad pain. And sweelling in my knees.

Sometimes it worse then others, and sometimes I dont even notice it.
Its just always been there. Mildly inhibiting. Im a rock climber, and Im a fairly active guy.
I have 2 kids, 3 and 7 months and
Im just curious, cause im getting older ya know.

I dont have most of the Symptoms.. Aside from pain. and Im not a real big guy. I try to gain weight, and Iv never been able to.
Im 125 tops, and im 5′6.
Iv always just figured I had a high metabolism, and Im real a really active guy.
But I hate doctors and dont generally go.. Ever..

I was very ill last year in Morocco (Aug/Sep) – Since coming back, i have had the following – Continued stomach pains/diarrhea, under active thyroid, my appendix removed, pulmonary embolism, i have been diagnosed with psoriatic arthritis, and to top it off, i now have a tear (possibly) in my bowel as i have been producing blood since coming home. Its just one thing after another. My doctor is great, and has kept me on top of tests etc, but every time i mention my holiday to various doctors/nurses etc, i get a "Mmmmmm…..really" What does that mean?
Anyway, if any one could offer a personal view, it would be very much appreciated.
Regards
