I stepped up to my truck Friday and my knee gave away.It took me about 15-20 minutes before I could put any weight on it.It continued to "give out" (maybe popping out of joint) several times during the weekend.
I went to ortho yesterday. They said that I had just aggrivated my arthritis and gave me a shot in the offending knee.If it still bothers me in 2 weeks they will order a mri.
It doesn’t feel like my usual arthritis pain. And would aggrivated arthritis make my knee unstable?
Thanks

My mom has terrible arthritis pain in both knees. Right now surgery is out of the question because it’s too expensive. Does anyone know of any home remedies or vitamins that would help relieve the pain my mom is having?

Maybe it’s not the most romantic gift idea but while my hubby waits to see the rheumatologist, are there any appliances that I can buy that will give him some relief from the pain in his hands and feet? I was wondering about those parafin wax things – I’ve heard that a dip in the hot wax can relieve some arthritis pain, but does it really? What about a therapeutic foot bath? Will the hot water and vibration help him at all? Am I even barking up the right tree? Thanks.
His GP diagnosed the RA. He’s made an appointment to see the rheumatologist but hasn’t seen one yet. I think his appointment is in two weeks or so. I just want to know if there are any therapeutic devices that I can buy that might relieve some of his pain in the meantime.

I have arthritis pain which sometimes prevents me from sleeping soundly. My liver enzymes elevate too much if I take Tylenol, ibeprofon, Alleve. I have relief with an Enzymatic Product called End Pain that contains cherry extract, bosellia (70% bosellic acids/300 mg)and white willow (30% salicin/133 mg).
Someone told me that Hoodia suppresses appetite and I am interested in knowing anyone’s personal results with that herb.

We are in the economic crisis, losing our business, and just a few weeks from having to leave our home. We have been living on credit cards, which are almost maxed out. Our two older labs are now on Metacam and Tramadol for arthritis pain, but we can no longer afford it. We have had them on one aspirin per day previously, but it doesn’t seem to give them any relief. We’d like to try Aleve, as it seems to work for my boyfriend and myself really well, but do not know if dogs tolerate it well. Does anyone have any knowledge of human meds that our dogs may take, (besides baby aspirin and adult aspirin), that may help with arthritis?

Probably about last spring, we notcied that one of our mini horses was walking much slower and was walking stiff legged. At the time we did not think that it was anything but we started giving her joint supplement. Now that she is out walking around again this spring we notice that it looks like it might have gotten worse. We are pretty sure that she has arthritis and are trying to figure out how to treat her. What are some things we can give her to help with the arthritis pain? And is it too late for injections to work?
yes she is old enough to have arthritis and we have the vet coming out on thurs..thx for the advice =]

Recently I developed pain in both hands and right arm. The pain in right hand is more severe than the left. I tried all kind of pain killers but not relief. My doctor sent me for Xray, ultrasound and EMG and all reports look fine. Doctor is not able to diagnose the problem and has put me on Lyrica. I am not seeing any relief. The pain is shooting pain at times and originates back of my hands and travels all the way up to my forearm. Pain is specially really bad in the morning when I wake up and I feel my hands and fingers are stiff. Doctor has ruled out Carpel Tunnel and Arthritis pain. I am not sure what I need to do next. Its been going on for 3 months and I am totally frustrated and depressed all day. Can someone help or comment on my situation what I need to do. Thanks in advance.
Just to add, I am off work for 4 weeks now and there is no improvement in the pain. The RSI sysptoms should have gone or should have shown sign of improvemnt during this week. But no relief.
