I like to crack my knuckles, my wrist, and my knee. More frequently my knuckles. I heard that you could get arthritis from cracking them but i don’t know. Any help?

this is untrue. there are two types of cracking joints. the first is popping bubbles in the synovial fluid of the joint (the lubricating liquid). after this, you cannot do it again for some time, until another bubble forms. this is the okay type of "joint cracking" this will not cause harmful side effects (although some people will find it very annoying). the other type is when two bones or cartilage are rubbing together. this you can do over and over again (like in the wrist or shoulder) and it is very bad because it can wear away the bone and cause arthritis. so if you can do it over and over again, DON’T! but if you can’t crack it a second time for a while (like your knuckles) then it is okay.
I don’t think it causes arthritis, maybe inflammation. the cracking noise is CO2 being released from cartilage
Maybe, maybe not. it sure is annoying however.
That’s one of those wive’s tales, but why would anyone intentionally do that?

No. I don’t think so it will cause Arthritis. It’s only the expansion and compression of the air between the bone. Unless the bones and the muscles in between inflamed, then you will feed the pain. So do not do that too often.
