whats wrong with my wrist??please help?

Ive been having severe pain in my wrist for about a week or so.I cant bed it forward or backwards.I cant grip things,turn it and it hurt to drive.I get the worst pains when i try to use it.And it on my right and i am right handed.Im only 19 about to be 20 and my mother had juvenile arthritis..could that be what it is.alls i know is i am in pain and my doctors is closed.The pain has started to spread to my elbow..anyone know what this could be?

JRA, at 20 I think you have passed that phase. However you might have RA, Rheumatoid Arthritis. Therefore I would see the GP asap. Mine started at 21! Good Luck
Just put a gauze pad around it for now, and go to the doctors when you have a chance too.
Make sure you don’t make any swift movements that might aggravate your arm.
It does sound like arthritis and the doctor will be able to help you when you can get in to see him. For now I would take some aspirin and use some Capsasin Cream on the area that hurts.
It sounds like Carpal Tunnel syndrome to me. I had this, and your inability to grip things made me think you might be suffering from this, too. Try Naproxen or Advil liquid Gel Caps. They will help take down the swelling and deal with pain right now. It is something that you MUST see a DOCTOR for, in any case! Because you will need an examination to count out RA and other things. But until then, go to a store and look for wrist braces. Find one that fits and does not make your pain worse. Wear it at night as you sleep and see if it helps! Hope you feel better.
