What could cause circular rash with severe joint pain/?
My 8yr old daughter developed a strange rash. They appeared as circular rashes that were open inside and all interconnected like a behive. She also had striped rashes that were raised and red as if someone had scratched her. She has been having extreme severe joint pain. To the point at times she cannot move. The doctors said it is Erythema multiforme or a virus. This has been going on for over a week. Is there some other diagnosis for this. Could this be possible juvenile rheumatoid arthritis? She worsens at night and has also been having a low grade fever. The rash also comes and goes.

Yeah I would say this is possibly Arthritis. I have had it for 23 years and this is how my symptoms started out and I was diagnosed at 11months old. With everything you are describing I would get a second opinion on this. You might was to think about having your daughter see a Rhuematologist, this is a doctor that works with people and children with JRA. If there is one in your area I would highly recommend going to Childrens Memorial Hospital. Its nothing to be afraid of and if thats what it is it’ll all be okay. I led a perfectly normal life and still do 23 years later. Good luck to you!! If you need more info check out http://www.arthritis.org its a very good resource and can give you guidance you need.
Im not a dr but did she get bit by a tick? lymes disease? I would def go get it checked out asap. Good luck!
