Prednisone and no period?

so, i’ve been on predsnisone for juvenile arthritis for a few months now, and in july i got a brown discharge while on it. my sister and mom said that i got my period. but its been 4 months and i havent gotten it since. whats going on!?

Prednisone is a steroid. One of its listed possible side effects is ‘altered menstrual schedule’.
Talk with your Dr. – long term prednisone use is not good – perhaps he could put you on another medication -
Prednisone will stunt your growth and could effect your puberty. You will get thin skin, increased facial and body hair, diabetes, weak bones, etc.
The doctor put you on it for a reaon, but you need to keep asking to be put on a safer medication longer term.
