What are the best foods to eat to lose weight fast (along with exercise)and still not be hungry?

I am getting older and wish to drop about 40 to 50 lbs. Should I lift weights or walk ? . I have a bad knee (arthritis) and can’t walk for that long without it being very painful. And, is there a web site for seniors who want to begin a weight lifting program?. I know this is a lot but I just can’t seem to find out any other way.

Would you go to this charity event?

I am planning to do a charity event for the arthritis foundation (I have had arthritis since I was 9 and now I am 13 so that’s why I want to do this). I am thinking of doing it at a bowling alley. Like I would rent it out for a couple of hours and you pay a cretin amount to bowl during that time. Then within that I want to do a couple of raffles, sell pizza, and drinks. Would you go to this charity event?

Knee pain for a few days? Bursitis, Arthritis?

I’ve had knee pain for the last few days, tried ibuprofen and ice, but it’s still there. The weather has just allowed me to start walking outdoors again, and I really need to walk! The pounds started coming right back on as soon as the weather got cold and rainy and I couldn’t walk. This morning I had to cut my walk short. Walking in the early mornings is the only way I get regular exercise. The Wii Fit is good, but it’s in the same room and the computer and that’s too tempting!

The pain feels like it’s right between the kneecap and the bone that connects on the inside. I have an idea it may be bursitis, but I’m not sure. My grandmother had serious arthritis, and my mother has it some, and I kind of expect that I will too, at some point. I’m 48, so it may be coming sooner than I want!

Can you distinguish between bursitis and arthritis by the way it feels? Or do you know what else this might be? I hope it’s nothing that would involve a muscle relaxant, because the only muscles they relax are my eyelids, and they give me nightmares!

I’d feel kind of silly going to the doctor, because I was just there the other day for something else. I have a toddler to keep up with, and my house is a disaster! Staying off it will be difficult, and I’m not sure if I should try or not, if it would help. I need my body to cooperate! I also have chorus competition coming up, and I really need to wear heels for a few hours that day!

How long should I let this go before I have to see the doctor? Any other advice?

I have realized that it’s on both sides of the kneecap, between the kneecap and the leg bones.

I have injured my knee and it may be a torn miniscus/acl…I do not want to go to dr. .no cutting! help?

I believe I hyperextended my left knee back ward and the instant pain was dramatic…It’s been two weeks or more…now, my knee is filled with fluid, and painful….I iced, rested, etc. and it is ok but still very traumatized…water on knee? arthritis? I am scared but don’t want to operate…any suggestions would help. It makes me exhausted too…I am not easily slowed down but this is doing it. Thank you

Can pregnancy aggravate arthritis?

About a year and a half ago, I got reactive arthritis in my knee from a salmonella infection. The pain and swelling went away with anti-inflammatory treatments and physical therapy, and I had been completely symptom free for the past 7 or 8 months. I am now 9 weeks pregnant, and the knee is starting to bug me again. Could it be related to the pregnancy?

Is anyone on Stelera and it hasn't worked?

I recently took my second set of shots on Stelera on 3/26/10 and since this past weekend I’m in full blown psoriasis out break. I was on Raptiva and Enbrel for the psoriasis and psoriatic arthritis until they took Raptiva off the market.

Sterela was meant to replace these other drugs and be the new treatment. I’m so disappointed and have no clue what to do. I’ve tried every drug and creams on the market to treat this disease and nothing but those two drugs I was previous on worked. Does anyone have any suggestions on what to do? My Dermatologist is out of town and saw his PA this week and she had nothing to offer me but cream for the itching.

I have a burning sensation and tightness in my knee when i move a certain way. causes pain but i didnt hurt it

Cristopher reed, was disabled, but he had one thing: A personality and a life. I’m reserved, quiet.. and i don’t have the ability that cristopher reed had. My problem is hard knee arthritis so sometimes i limp so much and casn’t walk at times.

I’m 27 and hope to get a girlfriend. i dont’ even know how but i’m thinking that probably it will end up being a girl like me. which is totatally fine but it would be nice if at least one of us was not suffering in pain. so that’s why i wish that i would find a normal girl.

A physio person told my husband that she feels he has arthritis in his hip causing him to have a problem walking. His knee will bend outward and one foot freezes as he is trying to
walk with a walker. When the foot freezes it will not move until it is ready to. This is very frustrating to my husband.
