Hi, everyone. i’m only 32 years old, but I was diagnosed with arthritis in both my knee caps 2 years ago. I was told by a specialist that my cushion is totally gone, and my knees look like the knees of 70 year old women, even though I was only 30. it is caused from a misalignment in my knee joint, which is heriditary. (my mom has it too). I typically avoid steps, as directed by my doctor, but only use biofreeze on my knees for pain, when needed. Since spring is here, I started becoming more active, and the pain is worse. I’m also going to Disney World in 2 months, and a lot of walking will be done. I’m trying NOT to pop a prescription med if possible. Thanks!!
I refused cortizone shots 2 years ago, since my mom had a lot of complications with hers.
WD-40? WTF….do we have some funny senior citizens around here?

It would seem to be counter-productive, but my family member really needs to lose weight.

Isn’t WD 40 some kind of petroleum distillate and haven’t they been declared frequently carcinogenic ??

To be more exact, the pain is on the sides of my knee and as I stated above, the pain seems to travel up to my hip area. I am 22, 6’0" and weigh 315 pounds. My job involves me standing for extended periods of time. As far as I know, I don’t have arthritis or anything of the sort. Also, when I am down on my right knee, it has a grinding feeling when I move on it.

Last friday my husband began having problems with his knee after jumping out of a 5 ton fuel truck. It pops a lot and it hurts him to bend it. It hurts to walk, especially up and down steps. He’s a US Marine so you can imagine the physical stress that is put on his knee. He also has history of arthritis in his family. Any ideas as to what the problem could be, or any ideas to relieve the pain? Thanks

I have been diagnose(Spelling?) with arthritis in the knees. I have pain mostly at the top of the left calf and what feels like shin splints in my left leg. Are these symptoms interrelated? If so, are there any well designed braces or treatments for this to reduce pain?
