My 5 year old pitbull’s right rear leg has been lame or stiff for the last month and needs treatment please.

He strides out well but only after ten seconds he needs to warm up during which he first uses just three legs or limps along. He is large but a little overweight weighing 120lb (55Kg) and I fear that he might now be suffering from arthritis in the right hind hip.

Take him to the vet. He may get a prescription for Rymadil, an anti-inflammitory drug. But take him to the vet as soon as you can.
A MONTH???? that’s abuse. are you too stupid to go to the vet?? Why have a dog if you are going to let it suffer? VET VET VET!!!!
Someone should report you!
Take him to the vet so you can find out how much pain he is in and how to treat> Good Luck
First off, pitbulls don’t grow that big.. probably a mastiff/pit mix, or a dogo argentino. Also.. we cannot give treatment for you! If you can’t afford to fix the problem, then put him to sleep.
What do you want us to do? You know he needs treatment, you say so. I guess I could send out some kind of psychic massage, but other than that I think you need to go to the vet.
120 Lbs for this breed is NOT slightly overweight. That may actually be the root cause of your problem.
Best of luck with dieting.
120 lb Pit Bull WOW that is 50 lbs over the heaviest weight any "pit Bull should be Put him on a diet immediatly & Take him to the VET, Be a resposible Owner!!
Your dog needs a vet and a diet in that order. I don’t have any other advice to offer you other than that. I’m sure that getting some of that weight off of him would help.
Please consult a vet soon ok? A month is too long to let your dog limp.
I can’t believe you have let your dog suffer for this long. Sometimes pittbulls are prone to torn ligaments, which are very hard to fix without surgery. Please take your dog to the vet. You will get better answers there than on here.
Animal cruelty includes failure to provide needed medical care for an animal.
your dog is pretty overweight (120 lbs wow), Pit Bulls are prone to hip dysplasia and only a vet can treat him. the extra weight is making it more painful for your dog. So please take him to the vet . vet will help you get him back to the size he should be.
