Volunteering Opinions?
I am looking around for more volunteer opportunities. I have been volunteering at the animal shelter for the past 9 months, but that’s only 2-4 hours a week. I narrowed down a list of places that I could volunteer at in town that I might be interested in. If any of you have experience with any of them, or if you know anyone who does it, I would appreciate it if you let me know how you/ they like it, or what they do:
- AFS Intercultural Program
- American Cancer Society
- American Heart Association
- Arthritis Foundation
- Bloodmobile
- Meals on Wheels
- Habitat For Humanity
- Food Bank
- Adopt a Trail
I’ve been to all the individual websites and know as they much as they explained. I’m just looking for other opinions. Thanks.
By the way, I’m Male, 23 and have essentially all the free time in the world, while I’m looking for a job.

You said you are looking for a job. What line of work are you interested in? See if any of these non-profits need help where you can use your skills and experience. It will help you build your resume, keep yourself involved in your field, and provide the non-profit with assistance they need.
All the organizations you listed seem like good candidates for your time and talent. If your line of work does not lend itself to volunteering as described above, contact the organizations to see what kind of help they need. Make your choice based on the volunteer activities that interest you most.
Hope this helps. Good luck!
Pick one u like the most or wander around the block where u live, look in the ph bk, follow ur interest and don’t ask anyone what u like. Would you go to a stranger and ask what u should do next? Buck up dude
