It started in July of ‘06 and got to the point of not being able to stand upright, with shooting pains down my left side down to my knees..Doc said after mri’s and x-rays that I have Degenerative Disk Disease, arthritis, and multiple bulging disks. I went through facet joint blocks, discogram, myelogram, 2 months of physical therapy, and ended up getting a spinal fluid leak from the procedures, which I ended up getting a blood patch(blood drawn out of my arm and injected into my spinal cord) to stop the migraines. I since stopped being a guinnea pig and went to a chiropractor who said I don’t have any of those things, just out of alignment. But after getting adjusted for 4 months now, I still have no relief, not a day goes by that I don’t have this nasty pain! I ended up quitting a job after almost 5 years because it caused too much pain on my back. My question is, where do I go next?!! It’s rather depressing and driving me absolutely insane!! I want to play with my kids!!!

Can I Have Gymnastics Help!?

I am a avid gymnast. I have juvenile arthritis. I found out you are supposed to wrap your writs/ankles with medical tape. How should i wrap them? Don’t tell me to ask my coach because i’m on medical leave and will go back next week and i want to know how now. Please answer. What other things should i do to stop the strain on my joints?

Maybe it’s not the most romantic gift idea but while my hubby waits to see the rheumatologist, are there any appliances that I can buy that will give him some relief from the pain in his hands and feet? I was wondering about those parafin wax things – I’ve heard that a dip in the hot wax can relieve some arthritis pain, but does it really? What about a therapeutic foot bath? Will the hot water and vibration help him at all? Am I even barking up the right tree? Thanks.
His GP diagnosed the RA. He’s made an appointment to see the rheumatologist but hasn’t seen one yet. I think his appointment is in two weeks or so. I just want to know if there are any therapeutic devices that I can buy that might relieve some of his pain in the meantime.

I had two suergeries one acl meniscus and an orthoscopy its been two years and I still have a lot of pain on my knee and early arthritis

My 2 year old daughter is fixing to start Methotrexate for her Juvenile Rheumatoid Arthritis and I wanted to know if anyone taking it has had actual side effects and how quickly they started. I know the possible side effects, but want to know what experience other people have had on this medicine.

My question is…does anyone know if moving to a warm dry climate actually help relieve the pain or is that all a bunch of balderdash? On a scale of one to ten for pain…most of the fall/winter/spring I would say I go between a 12 and a 60.
I have tried anti inflamitories, pain blockers, and alternative meds…with little relief.

It’s not pain neccessarily; it’s more of a bother that keeps me up. It’s like arthritis, I think. My knee just.. hurts. I’m not sure if it’s swelling up or not. I’ve had this since I was young, like 9 or 10; it always comes randomly.

And anyone know what to do about it?
