I have a heart condition 3 heart stents and rheumatoid arthritis. Because of my heart they say they cant give me anything but pain medicine. I take a pain pill every morning before i can get out of bed plus steroid shot once a month. Is there anything safe out there to take besides pain pills.

I was diagnosed with Juvenile Rheumatoid Arthritis when I was 4 years old. About a year or two later we got it under control and later it went into remission. It was in remission until after I had my son. Giving birth triggered the arthritis… either that or the epideral. Now it is active and I want to find medications to get it under control. My doctor gives me the same medicine but I don’t want to take pills everyday for the rest of my life. Isn’t there some other medication that I could take?
The meds that they have prescribed me does give me bad side effects. Thats why I have stopped taking them and now I’m in so much pain. Thanks for the answers from everyone! Will put it to good use!

I’ve been having pain in my knee for awhile(since I started playing tennis).Neck problems since I was 15.Anyway,wondering about the pain I had x-rays done on both my neck and right knee.Apparently I have arthritis in both.I am pissed because I know there’s no cure and medication will put me to sleep so no point of even taking it.I can still play tennis but not as well as I use to.I’ve put on 12 pounds since the pain started.I just can’t stand the pain while playing tennis or anything else.I hate that a year ago I was okay’d to play football by the same doctor(I didn’t play though).Okay question, like I said I don’t care too much for medication but if you have arthritis anywhere will any of the muscle ointment work for you?Icy hot, bengay, equate etc.I usually put a hot towel on it or a ice pak and lay down.Another question is instead of getting a job should I try to get diability?I don’t really won’t to but a few people told me I should if the pain is real bad. Thanks in advance.long, sorry

What should not I eat and should I eat for rheumatoid arthritis?
Which exercises and sports are suitable for rheumatoid arthritis?
I was diagnosed as rheumatoid arthritis.I have had the disease since I was 11.At first,I can’t walk. After 2years,I was recover from it and since then,I have been healthy. However when I had checkup,I was diagnosed as rheumatoid arthritis again.
I want to know how I can get rid of this disease.
I don’t want to take many medicines with harmful side effects.
I prefer avoiding foods that are bad for rheumatoid arthritis and taking foods that are good for the disease.
And I am very willing to do exercises and sports instead of taking drugs.

i have Juvenile Rheumatory Arthritis.
and im 14.
i had posted something like this before and only received 2 answers.
which, both were really not that helpful. =/
i am going to the doctor soon, but for right now, what can i do????
cause it hurts like crazy!
i heard something a while ago that if you put a bar of soap on it then that can help too.
OH, by the way, i have it in both of my knees since i was about 2.
so can somebody tell me of a treatment that can help me tonight?
Thank you guys so much!
i just went out to the store with my mom and we bought some ibuprofen for the pain and we bought some white rice.
its on my right knee right now.
and its weird, cause most of the time its my left knee thats bothering me, but tonight its my right one.
idk. but thank you guys so much!
and i really cant pick a best answer because they all were great.
thanks! <33

I called the doctor(Wednesday) about my knee pain, and they have yet to call back as they said they would. I was talking to my mother, and she said it might be RA, as a wild guess, with my joints aching. Does anyone know what it could be?
I have pain in my ankles, knees, hips, lower back, shoulder, elbows, and wrists.
